Employee Wellness
Through programs, services, policy development and program planning, MCCB is endeavoring to improve employee health and well-being. MCCB employees are offered an expanse of health education, nutrition recommendations, and lifestyle skills to enable them to achieve their best possible health.
MEA Cares Counseling
MEA Cares offers an Employee Assistant Program (EAP) to the employees of the Mississippi Community College Board. The EAP provides confidential assistance to employees and their household members covering a wide range of family, marital, work-life challenges, and mental health issues. Each year employees are entitled to five visits per year per household member. There is no cost to employees or household members to use the EAP.
Examples of common concerns that may be addressed through the EAP:
- Psychological issues and stress
- Drug and alcohol problems
- Crisis intervention
- Financial management
- Adoption
- Parenting
Wellness Days
- MCCB employees who visit their physicians for an annual wellness check will be given the option to take personal leave or to work off-site the remainder of the day of the visit. Employees must immediately submit documentation of the annual visit to Human Resources in order to participate in the provided option.
- MCCB employees are provided 5 EAP visits per year. February 1 will begin the new period for 2019. MCCB employees who visit EAP will be provided the option to take personal leave or to work off-site the remainder of the day of the visit. TeleHealth- Amwell
Amwell is a state and school employee’s health insurance plan that offers online provider visits. Online visits can be accessed on your smartphone, tablet or computer (webcam)
C3 Wellness
The Community Challenge for Change (C3) Wellness Center is a state-of-art-facility located on site. C3 is available free of charge to all employees of the educational complex.
