About
The Mississippi Collegiate Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) Division at the Mississippi Community College Board provides oversight of all collegiate chapters of the organizations in the State of Mississippi. That oversight encompasses all community colleges, institutions of higher learning, or private educational entities with chapters. Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) operate independently as incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit, student-governed organizations. The CTSOs offer leadership programs and competitive events, which reflect current curriculum standards and competencies for the instructional programs they serve within Career, Technical, Academic, and Agricultural Education. CTSOs are key components to strong CTE programs. CTSOs integrate into Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and courses to extend teaching and learning through innovative programs, business and community partnerships, and leadership experiences at the school, state, and national levels.
